River Edge, NJ – January 30, 2008 – Halocarbon Products Corporation, a leading worldwide producer of specialty fluorochemicals and inhalation anesthetics, has experienced significant sales growth, most notably in China and India, which has lead to the company expanding its manufacturing complex yet again.

Exports accounted for 60% of the company’s 2007 sales, with an ever-increasing percentage coming from the East. Popular products continue to be hexafluoroisopropanol, trifluoroethanol and trifluoroacetic acid. In addition, Halocarbon’s custom synthesis and production capabilities continue to impress its customers, resulting in orders for more and more complex molecules.

“Our 2007 sales were significantly higher than the previous few years,” said Halocarbon CEO Peter Murin. “International growth is a major component of this success. The work being performed by the Halocarbon team and our global distributors is proving itself in the most important place; the bottom line. We expect this momentum to carry through 2008 and beyond.”

As a pioneer in fluorochemistry, Halocarbon’s customers have come to rely on high quality products and on-time delivery. To exceed customer’s expectations, Halocarbon is expanding its production capabilities yet again, marking the third increase in as many years, with new reactors and ancillary equipment. Another new production facility may soon follow.
 

On the technical side, the company continues to see demand for several of its difluoro compounds. These compounds have useful applications as intermediates in both pharmaceutical and agrochemical fields.
