Fluorochemicals maker Halocarbon (Atlanta) has announced two appointments. Siddhartha Shenoy has been appointed as director of strategic marketing, and Matt Muller is joining Halocarbon as senior sales manager of oils, greases and waxes. Shenoy started his career as a research chemist, and he has more than 15 years of experience in research, innovation and marketing and sales of chemicals. Halocarbon Names David Bacon CEO

Halocarbon Products Corporation, producer of specialty fluorochemicals and inhalation anesthetics, names David Bacon as its new chief executive officer. Bacon joins Halocarbon with more than 24 years of experience in market analysis and driving innovation.

Bacon most recently served as president of LSP Products Group, leading the commercial transformation of the business, according to Halocarbon. Prior to his role at LSP, he was general manager for the AT Plastics business at Celanese Corporation, growing the company’s specialty polymers business. Bacon also worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company, working with Fortune 500 companies to improve resource productivity. He began his professional career at Exxon Corporation. Bacon holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas.

Bacon to head Halocarbon

David Bacon has been named as the new CEO of Halocarbon Products, the US-based producer of speciality fluorochemicals and inhalation anaesthetics, from 28 April. He is the first CEO to be hired from outside in the firm’s 60-year history.

A chemical engineer from the University of Arkansas, Bacon has 24 years of experience in the industry, having held posts at Exxon, McKinsey and Celanese’s AT Plastics subsidiary. Most recently he was president of LSP Products Group, where he is said to have “led the commercial transformation of the business, significantly growing the company’s revenue and improving operating income”.
