U. S. Patent No. 7423063 discloses that calcium trifluoroacetate can be added to medications to provide cytotoxic and antitumoral activity. A more recent patent, U.S. Patent 7705051 teaches that the calcium salt of trifluoroacetic acid has been shown to exhibit cytotoxic activity not only against solid tumor cell lines but also against myeloma cell lines.
